Needy School Children of Third World Countries
The global education monitoring report 2020 of UNESCO has published a report that about 50 percent of lower income countries are unable to support children during covid-19. In such countries all sectors are highly affected including health, economics, education, industries etc. As far as Pakistan is concerned out of 20 percent of households only 14 pc own a television making distance learning. It is not feasible or even not possible to facilitate the masses. They are at a far more disadvantaged starting point for an effective transition to online teaching or learning.
Learners with disability are at high risk in present pandemic. Blind and deaf students are far away from the access of many resources. For children with mild learning difficulties e.g. lack of attention, mental disorder, hyper activeness make it hard to sit in front of computer alone . In less developed countries disturbance in electricity and wi-fi have created frustration among the student while they are also suffering from hunger, thirst and other social and domestic problems. Assessing the effects of school closures on Corona infection rates has filled with uncertainly as conclusive evidence is yet to emerge, making the issue at times quite divisive.
