From Begging to The Court Room
No doubt that begging is curse and very disgracing practice but if there is an aim and genuine need then we see a transgender Nisha Rao, who spent the life with the aim of becoming lawyer and finally succeeded. Her example provides inspiration for the other transgender people in Pakistan. Nisha says thanks to Supreme Court for allowing our community to claim as third gender on National identity cards. Nisha further added that treatment as out casts many transgender persons are victim of sexual assault. She ended up begging on the streets after running away from her home in Lahore. Arriving in Karachi she started begging again. From this earning, she got admission in law classes at night. Now Nisha is a law graduate and a part of Karachi Bar Association. Her wish to become first Pakistani transgender judge.
