Elephant Crushed Scholar to Death in Sri Lanka
A deadly wild elephant attacked on a young university scholar she was just 30 years and going back to her hostel. She was along with another friend who managed to escape and saved herself. Wild life department said that it is not rare or new that is quite common in island of Sri Lanka. Deceased lady was a lady of university of Jaffna. It occurred in a densely populated area. She got multiple head injuries, could not survive and died in hospital. During last year 120 cases of elephant’s fatal attacks were reported. It is also reported that elephant’s population in Sri Lanka is approximately 7000 which is decreasing gradually.
