Atom Bomb and Hiroshima
It was 6th August 1945; the Second World War was going on. In USA, the nuclear scientists had been working to produce an atomic bomb. They knew the bomb would cause massive destruction as it would be more powerful than any weapon. US president Harry Truman gave its approval to drop that on Hiroshima on 6th August 1945. After that Japan experienced the deadly and most horrible situation ever faced. The bomb at Hiroshima killed more than 80,000 people. Many thousands died from injuries and radiations. Situation was such, waves of suffocating heat and winds swept everything away in its path. Intolerable pain of burns killed lot of people instantly. The grass burned at the ground like dry straw. Three days later on 9th August 1945 a second bomb was dropped at Nagasaki resulting more than 50,000 people died. This massive destruction ended the Second World War and Japan had to surrender on 14th August 1945.
